WATCH: Alonso jokes about being FIA boss, Hamilton disapproves
Fernando Alonso is into his final F1 weekend and he is looking to enjoy every bit of it, soak in every moment and just enjoy this final run in an F1 car(at least for the time being).
Alonso has been a little irritable all season, largely due to the problems that the McLaren car has had and how they haven’t really been competitive despite making the switch from the Honda to the Renault engine.
But with the final weekend of his F1 career here, Alonso looks as relaxed as ever and has indulged in some banter with Hamilton during the press conference on Thursday.
Yesterday a video of the duo had surfaced where Walter Koster(the famous ‘monkey question’ journalist) asked Hamilton if he had started work on the book that he had promised everyone here in Abu Dhabi in 2016.
"He was always one of the most talented drivers that I have had the pleasure of racing." #F1 https://t.co/7qgQ2HlYRN

Alonso pitched in and asked Hamilton to answer Koster about the mechanical crew change that was made between him and Rosberg.

Now, another video of the duo indulging in some banter has surfaced on social media, one where the journalist asks Alonso what the future holds for him.
Alonso replied saying that he loves Formula 1 and would be looking to stay associated with him. He did not rule out a comeback, and then went onto jokingly say that he might return as the FIA boss.
Hamilton was quick to jump on that, saying that Alonso shouldn’t come back as the FIA boss, at least not when Hamilton is still around.
Alonso replied with a jibe, saying that he would give Hamilton the maximum penalty, if he came back to F1 as the FIA boss.
Alonso about the future and what he will do and at some point he said this:
Alonso: “Maybe FIA boss”
Hamilton: “Not FIA boss, at least not when I‘m still around.”
Alonso: “Maximum penalty”— tami. (@Vetteleclerc) November 22, 2018
Alonso and Hamilton did have their differences during Hamilton’s rookie season in 2007, but it is heartening to see that the duo have gotten past their differences and have embraced each other so well.
