Kimi Raikkonen on retiring from the Abu Dhabi GP
Kimi Raikkonen did not quite have the fairytale farewell at Ferrari, as his race came to a premature end, as he had a complete shut down and had to park his car on the main straight.
Kimi fans had hoped for a podium finish for their hero in his last ever Ferrari race, but it just wasn’t meant to be for Kimi, as he took that long walk back to the paddock.

Raikkonen spoke about the retirement and how he felt about it, saying that he couldn’t really do too much about and it and had to move on.
“It’s not the best departing gift, but that’s how racing goes sometimes […] It’s been good, good times bad times it’s part of racing. We’ll stay friends.” Raikkonen said.

Raikkonen would be hoping that his stint with Sauber goes well, as he would start testing for the team next week in Abu Dhabi.
Raikkonen fans would be hoping that he can somehow manufacture results with Sauber next year, try and score points initially and then get on the podium.
Twitter was sad that Ferrari could not give Kimi the best possible finale, but were happy that he could P3 in the championship race. Fans would love to see Raikkonen at the F1 gala now
Kimi Raikkonen the unluckiest Driver ever. He’s gonna lose P3 due to reliability issues. That’s the story of his career.
