Cricketing biopics that should be made
Last week, Indian cricket fans were bowled over by the potrayal of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s life on screen. Sushant Singh Rajput’s brilliant acting and the entire screenplay was a treat for every die-hard MSD fan. Along similar lines, The Sportsrush enlists 5 cricketing biopics that should be made other than that of Captain Cool.
1. Sachin Tendulkar
This is quite a no-brainer. Sachin, widely regarded as the God of cricket has surpassed almost every possible cricketing record existing in the planet. The struggles of the little master during his formative years is well documented and a movie depicting the same would surely be legendary.
There could be several facets that the movie could focus on. For instance, a young Sachin riding pillion on coach Ramakant Achrekar’s scooter to play multiple matches. Thereafter, making a sensational debut at the age of 16 against the likes of WaqarYounis and Wasim Akram. This story would have blockbuster written all over it.
The movie could cap off with a heartfelt adieu/speech to cricket by the master at his home ground, the Wankhede Stadium. Hence, this story features in our list of the cricketing biopics that should be made.
