"Amazed that people don't see what Ben Simmons does": Sixers' Head Coach Doc Rivers praises his star as Philly takes a 2-0 lead over Bradley Beal and his Wizards

Head Coach Doc Rivers is nothing but praise for Ben Simmons as the Sixers beat the Wizards 120-95 and take a 2-0 lead over the Wizards

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Washington Wizards 120-95 tonight. With this win, they now hold a 2-0 lead, heading to Washington. The Sixers big 3 all pitched in, as they secured the win. Ben Simmons led the way with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Joel Embiid scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Tobias Harris scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. The Sixers performed as a group and showed us why they were the #1 team in the East.

For the Wizards, injuries do not seem to stop coming. Russell Westbrook had to exit the game with an injury, having scored 10 points and dishing 11 assists. Bradley Beal scored a game-ho=igh 33 points, but it was in vain. Without support from the rest of the team, the Wizards faltered again.

Doc Rivers is amazed that people do not see Ben Simmons and his potential

Ben Simmons is playing his fourth season in the league currently. Despite being drafted in 2016, Simmons did not play a single game due to injury. In 2017, he came and claimed the Rookie of the Year title. As per the records, this season is the worst offensively for Ben Simmons. He is averaging a career-low in points, rebounds, and assists. However, not everything a player does gets reflected on the stat sheets.

Simmons is one of the three finalists for the coveted Defensive Player of the Year award. He has been a pillar on the defensive end of the floor. He can also bring his offense whenever the team requires it. In the post-game interview, Doc Rivers talked about the same and showed his amazement over people not recognizing what Simmons does.

As long as Simmons keeps doing what he does on the defensive end, and brings the offense when needed, the Sixers are good. No other noise should bother the 24-year-old guard.
