Among Us Crewmate tips: How to win as a Crewmate in Among Us?

Among Us Crewmate Tips: Here are the tips you need to follow to not get killed and last long enough to catch the Imposter.

Among Us is certainly a very fun game. However, it can also get rather triggering, especially when you die very early in-game and are always stuck as a ghost. Also, leaving games to join new ones does not solve the problem either. That’s because the game selects Imposters at random and you may be stuck playing Crewmate for a while. Simply put, the best way to have fun as a Crewmate is to learn to play it correctly.

Among Us Crewmate Tips: The first leap of faith.

Most of the Among Us Crewmate tips included in our list are skill-based and you can master them by practice. Our first however is a little dependent on luck. This involves the act of choosing a partner or partners.

It is no use roaming the wilds on your own as a Crewmate. It makes you easy to target and easy to kill. So, you should always be with a pack. However, when it comes to choosing the first one or two mates for your pack, you need to take a leap of faith. That’s because, in the late game, you’ll know whom to trust based on their task dedication.

But early on, when everyone is starting out, task fakers are hard to spot. Regardless, tip no. 1 still is pick a team of 1 or 2 and stick with them early game.

Keep tabs on your chosen team and people you pass.

Once you’ve picked a group to hang with, one of two things will happen. Either you’ll get picked off and your gamble will fail or, your mate will be legit. And it is from this second case, that your real game begins. Once your pair or trio seems relatively trusty to you, starting tracking crewmates you pass by.

For eg., if after doing wires bottom right on a map, while going up, you find mates heading down, remember their colour. Later on, in meetings, call them out and ask for alibis.

Get vouched for and hard vouch for mates.

Part of the reason why Tip no. 1 is so important has to do with this tip. Getting voted off wrongly is one of the most common ways to die in a game. But, if you hang with a group, even if they are sus of you, they’ll vouch for you against certain kills. That’s because you were with them at the time. Use this to harbour trust in the lobby.

Other additional Among Us Crewmate tips.

In just about every game, after two rounds, all Imposters have a target in mind. Usually, this is someone who is very sus of them, but not highly sus themselves. Imposters look to kill these trustworthy people for their own safety first. So, try to extra careful after a meeting where you threw hard sus on a mate. Either stay away from them, or with them but in a big group. This way they’ll fail to target you, their Achilles heel.

Now, let’s get to some additional tips. Complete tasks when comfortable with a group. So, if you’re sus of your mates, avoid doing tasks at the time. Be wary of your trusty group too. Sometimes Imposters can make masterful plays such as not killing you to gain your trust throughout the whole game only to kill you in the end. So, while hard vouching for your mates, stay open to possibilities.
