Skeld.net Mods in Among Us is a community server that allows you to play a variety of unofficial game modes. But is it safe & should you use it right now?
Remember all those different Among Us game modes that came out a few weeks ago? The Among Us Zombie Mode, the Cops n Robbers Mode, Among Us with 100 Players and so on? Well, where do you think they are right now? That’s right, on the Among Us Skeld.net server.
What is Skeld.net Mods?
The Among Us Skeld.net is the first community server for Among Us. That means it is hosted & run entirely by the community, separate from Innersloth, who host the official servers of the game. If you are or were a Minecraft player, you’re probably well aware of the concept of community servers by now. In fact, Minecraft has loads of them & they are one of the primary reasons behind the game’s potential for creativity.

Is this Among Us community server safe?
What makes a community server different from any random server is the accountability of it. Since these servers are regulated by the community, they are responsible for it. They bolster its security, include anti-cheats and take other safety measures as well. This way, while not being an official server, they still manage to be a reliable one.
The Among Us Skeld.net server promises the same. However, the question that actually matters is – do they deliver? At present, with only a maximum room for 3000 concurrent players, the server is pretty small.
Moreover, not enough players have tried it out either. Add to this the fact that scams around Among Us, such as the recent Custom Skins scam, have been very common. Therefore, it’d be better for you to give the server some more time & see how things pan out.
Once you do that, then, you can plunge headlong into all those wonderful game modes you’ve been trying to play for so long!
