The foul in the final 3rd of the match led to an unusual exchange between the pair. Kristoffer Olson said after the match:

“He said to me to stop acting like I was Messi,” Olsson revealed .

“I can’t remember what I said back. I thought it was strange, I don’t understand what he really meant.”

Olsson however, would be proud of his performance as Sweden held Spain to a 1-1 draw.

It’s heavy now. We have 1-0 to the last minute and I think we make a great match. But I’m proud of the performance we do. We have everything in our own hands, it’s up to us to move on.

It was a lot of fun to play today. It was a good team; against good players you have to raise yourself and I thought I and we did. It was fun to play.

Sweden almost won the match but a 92nd equaliser by Rodrigo ensured that both teams left with a point each. Olsson and the boys however, are not too upset and are in fact proud of the game they showcased last night.
