Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has spoken about playing with his forward-partner Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal faced a defeat in their first match of the Premier League to defending champions Manchester City. Unai Emery’s side failed to stop the high-flying City side, who took off from where they left last season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, however, has opened up on the possibility to play on the flanks to make way for Alexandre Lacazette at number.9. In an interview reported by ESPN, Aubameyang talked about his partnership with the French forward, as well as the new season at Arsenal.

“We [Aubameyang and Lacazette] really get on well. There is a spark between us when we are both on the pitch together.
“We look for each other, we saw it against City when he came on. I don’t mind playing on the left if Laca is in the centre. We both want to do our best for the team,” the Gabonese forward said.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker also talked about the disappointing match against Manchester City.
“We still need some time to adapt to the new manager & to integrate the new players. It’s hard to test ourselves in a first game like this against City because they are so strong,” said Aubameyang.
“We lacked a bit of character at the beginning. In the second half it was a bit better. I still think there were positives. The way we pressed, especially the second half was interesting. That’s how we caused problems to City & created chances,” the forward added.
“We have to stay positive, work on the things we did well & improve on the rest,” stated Aubameyang.
Aubameyang spoke about the style with Arsenal would approach matches this season. “The message of the new coach is all about showing character, to put a lot of intensity, play high up the pitch & implement a big pressing. That’s the style we will play this season,” he said.
