Isco to Barcelona

Barcelona are ready to make a move for Real Madrid’s playmaker Isco.

Real Madrid are planning to ship off some of their stars in the forthcoming summer window as Florentino Perez plots move for a complete revamp in the squad. The 71-year-old was heavily criticized for the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, also the failure to find a replacement for the Los Blancos leading scorer.

The likes of Eden Hazard, Christian Eriksen, and Eder Militao are tipped to join the reigning Champions League winners in the upcoming window. On the other hand, the likes of Luka Modric, Isco, and Marcelo will be wanting a new adventure.

Isco, who was an integral man in Julen Lopetegui plans was blowing hot and cold when he was at reign. Since the sacking of the former Spain manager, things have not gone well for the Spanish International who is being told to warm the bench.

When Santiago Solari was asked if he has any personal problems with the midfielder, the Argentine was quick to deny and added that he would let Isco leave if any suitable offer is placed on the table.

In the last three months, the 26-year-old has played just 184 minutes in the La Liga and is yet to start a League game under Solari. He has often been used in the second string team and has started only two games against Leganes and CSKA Moscow in the Copa Del Rey and Champions League respectively.

Those two starts came when the Los Blancos took a three-goal to the second leg and the qualification to the Champions League knockout has already been guaranteed.

Ahead of the Copa Del Rey Semifinals against Real Madrid, Barcelona’s president Josep Bartomeu opened about his admiration of Isco. He also seemed confident on this deal as he sounded about the competitiveness these two sides are trying to build.

“If our coaches asked us for a player and they want to leave Madrid, of course we would sign them. But it has not happened since I’m here.

“There are no non-aggression pacts. Each one tries to make their team more competitive. Isco? For the sake of Real Madrid I would speak with the president of Real Madrid [Florentino Perez].”

Bartomeu said.

Should their arch-rivals decide to do business with them, there is no doubt that they will face a stubborn test from Juventus, PSG, and Chelsea. Any offer between 60 and 80 million euros will be sufficient to lure him away from Santiago Bernabeu.
