As per latest reports, Bobby Lashley is the next name to sign for the company after reportedly agreeing a deal to mark his second stint with the company.

A move to WWE was on the cards for the star after getting released from Impact Wrestling on January 18, 2018.

Apart from that, due to his heavy MMA background, a dream match against “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar was always on the table.

The odds for the match have increased significantly as sources confirm that Lashley is happy with the negotiations and pleased with the deal being offered to him.

The 41-year-old was in the WWE’s development program in 2004, where he rose through the ranks to burst into the main event scene and went on to win the United States Championship.

Lashley was then drafted into the revives ECW brand where he was one of the dominant figures. He went on to become a 2-time champion with the brand.

Lashley was then given a major push where he was placed in the main event pursuing the top titles of the company. Lashley faced a long term injury after which he was released from his contract with the company.

The former champion  is one of the dominant figures in the MMA circuit and is a household name for the Bella to Promotion. The star holds an impressive 15-2 record in the octagon.

Lashley could be first introduced into the NXT rather than a direct entry into the main roster, he could rekindle a rivalry against his old nemesis Ethan Carter III. The duo had a long program during their time together at Impact Wrestling.

The deal could very well take place considering Vince McMahon obsession for men with impressive physique. The prospect of the dream match between Lashley and Lesnar sounds appealing with hard hitting action not being a barrier for these men.
