Will Harry Kane Play vs Chelsea : Jose Mourinho Reveals When The Tottenham Striker Will Return?

Will Harry Kane Play vs Chelsea : The club’s top scorer is set to miss out on the club’s London derby fixture with Chelsea

Hacked and slashed at by Thiago when Tottenham came across Liverpool last week, Harry Kane ended up suffering a prolonged injury. Taking excruciating blows to both of his ankles, Kane had ended up exiting that outing in the second half.

Jose Mourinho had spoken about Kane’s injury ensuing that match, talking about how the striker was dealt throbbing blows to both his ankles. The Tottenham boss said the club expected the striker to miss out on the forthcoming month in lieu of the latest setback.

While Mourinho has since asserted that Kane will skip Tottenham’s fixture against Chelsea, there was better news on the player. The striker is slated to return next week with him touted to be fit to take on either Manchester City or Everton.

Kane Set To Make A Return Next Week

“Good progress, he’s happy with the progress and of course we’re happy too,” Mourinho told a press conference.

“I think it’s not a very optimistic thing to say next week he should be playing, it will be just a consequence of his good evolution.

“So we’re happy. We were scared when it happened but next week we play Everton and City at the weekend. I believe for one of these matches he should be back.”

“Yeah, yes Serge is fine. He’s the only player back to the group. He’s the only one so it’s Alfie Devine that leaves the group. In spite of working with us, he and Dane Scarlett now they work with us every day, now they go back to the academy to play, in this case Devine will not be involved because Serge will occupy his place in the squad,” Mourinho said when asked about Aurier.

“Ok, ok. He’s ok. He had really, really a knock but no problems to play tomorrow,” the Tottenham supremo said as he affirmed that Ndombele was fit for the forthcoming matchup.
