CM Punk pokes fun at Chael Sonnen’s claims of WWE offering him a million dollars to no show his UFC Title match on Twitter.
Former UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen recently appeared on the on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on ESPN+. He claimed that he received a call from someone in the WWE who offered to pay him a million to no show his UFC 148 main event match for the UFC title against Anderson Silva. Apart from that he also received another offer; 5 million to show up at WWE Raw with the UFC title if he managed to beat Silva.
He claims that he never said a word about it to Dana White and the fans are split in half. Many believe that this sounds like something Vince McMahon would attempt. Other’s don’t have a lot of trust in the things Sonnen says. However, Former WWE Champion CM Punk saw an opportunity to crack a joke and took it.
Twitter user Greg Rosenstein posted:
Chael Sonnen says before his second fight with Anderson Silva, someone from WWE called him with an offer and said to not weigh in and not fight.

To which Punk hilariously replied:
It was me. It was me all along. Lol

The comment was a reference to the Ministry of Darkness storyline when Vince McMahon revealed that he was the higher power all this time. Last month too CM Punk made a joke about his AEW appearance on Twitter.
