CSK vs MI Head to Head Record in IPL History

With the exception of Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings have mostly dominated all other franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League. Considering how MI are the only team to have won an IPL title more times than the CSK, the latter will step on to the field at their home ground for the fifth time in IPL 2023 tomorrow in a bid to better their record against this particular opposition.

Chennai, however, have won three out of their last five matches against Mumbai. Speaking of their last encounter in April, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men hadn’t faced a lot of trouble in chasing down a 158-run target. Although all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had registered match-winning bowling figures, the contest is fondly remembered for batter Ajinkya Rahane scoring a quickfire half-century in his first match for the franchise.

Indians, who have outperformed Super Kings on most occasions in all these years, must be brimming with confidence with the fact that they have won six and lost just a couple of matches in CSK vs MI Head to Head Records at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. With the El Classico of IPL happening in Chennai for the first time since 2019, expect it to be played in front of a jam-packed stadium.

Won by Indians, IPL 2019 Qualifier 1 was the last match between these two stalwarts at this venue. Super Kings, on the other hand, haven’t defeated them in a home match since 2010.
