Highest Individual Score by Batters in IPL History in All Seasons

The introduction of the impact player rule in the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League has brought along much more fireworks, with teams having the option to include an extra batter particularly while chasing, and reduce the length of the tail.

Resultantly perhaps, we have already seen 23 team totals in excess of the 200-run mark by the 42nd match already in the season, and it is highly likely that the record for hitting the maximum number of boundaries in a single IPL edition will be broken this year as well.

However, when it comes to the record for the highest individual score by a batter in tournament history, no batter has looked like coming close to the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle‘s knock of 175* (66) against Pune Warriors India, during the 2013 edition in Bengaluru.
