LSG vs MI Head to Head Record in IPL History

The 63rd match of the ongoing 16th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium tomorrow. Slated to be the first match of the season between these two teams, it will be Super Giants’ last home match of IPL 2023.

Played at the Wankhede Stadium over 12 months ago, the last match between these two oppositions had witnessed Lucknow registering a clinical 36-run victory. Powered by injured captain KL Rahul‘s second century against Indians last season, LSG had reduced the home team to 132/8 in 20 overs to successfully defend a 169-run target.

Much like their latest encounter, the first match of this rivalry was also won by Rahul and his men. In his absence, it will be interesting to see if Krunal Pandya is able to extend his team’s winning streak against his previous franchise or not.

Coming on the back of a rain-abandoned match and a couple of losses under Pandya, Super Giants would also be wanting to improve their home record. In the six matches that they’ve played at this venue this season, they’ve won twice and lost thrice. MI, on the other hand, will be playing here for the first time in IPL history.
