June 23rd, 2023, will go down in history as one of the most memorable days in the global Esports industry. With all eyes numb, Team Liquid has officially parted ways with their long-time CS:GO veteran EliGE. Moreover, the 25-year-old Esports star will now play for the American Esports organization Complexity Gaming.

Their everlasting eight years together make Team Liquid and EliGE’s separation unique. Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski joined the Netherlands-based eSports company back in 2015. That crowns the North American player as one of the longest-serving members of Team Liquid.

Ever since he arrived at Team Liquid, the player has witnessed a journey of highs and lows. Moreover, EliGE also helped the team reach great heights, like winning the 2019 Grand Slam, the 2018 Americas Minor Championship, and many more. A few years later, in 2021, EliGE proved to be an irrepressible gem in Team Liquid, ultimately earning him an ownership stake in the organization.

Team Liquid’s gratitude for EliGE

On Twitter, Team Liquid bid their final farewell to the 25-year-old veteran player. They announced their parting ways with Jonathan and their gratitude to him, expressing how he helped the team achieve their most significant moments.

Here’s Team Liquid’s heart-melting message for Jonathan, “We feel deep gratitude to Jon and his time on TL, from a young talent to a mature adult who has helped us achieve our biggest moments: winning the Grand Slam, reaching many playoff stages, even creating one of the greatest CS memes.”

Here’s Team Liquid’s current roster under the coach ship of Damian ‘Daps’ Steele:

  • Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinskis
  • Keith ‘NAF’ Markovic
  • Patsi
  • Joshua’ oSee’ Ohm
  • Rainwaker

With EliGE’s absence, witnessing the team’s performance in the upcoming majors would be engaging.

EliGE joins Complexity Gaming

Soon after Team Liquid’s goodbye tweet, EliGE’s new home, Complexity Gaming, also went on Twitter, announcing their latest member. This welcoming tweet showcased Jonathan himself acting through the video.

This announcement surprised the fans, as the entire esports community looked forward to EliGE’s next team.
