Dean Ambrose: Former WWE Star set to feature in MMA movie ‘Cagefighter’

Dean Ambrose: Former WWE Star set to feature in MMA movie ‘Cagefighter’. The movie is an MMA themed action film.

Johnathan Goodman aka Dean Ambrose of WWE fame shocked the world when he quit the WWE last month. Fans around the world have since been speculating about his next destination. Many believe that the Former WWE Champion will turn out for AEW. There have also been reports of him joining Impact Wrestling.

While not much is known about his wrestling future at present, it is confirmed that he has joined the cast of the MMA movie ‘Cagefighter’.

The film tells the story of an acclaimed MMA Champion who loses to a debuting Professional wrestler in an overly hyped match. The humiliated champion now has to work his way back to the top to earn his rematch.

Apart from Ambrose, the movie also stars real-life MMA fighter and actor Josh Herdman. The rest of the cast Includes Michael Jai White, Gina Gershon, Michelle Ryan, and Jason Maza.

The film will be directed byJesse Quinones. The producers are Lorianne Hall with Trilight Entertainment’s Shayne Putzlocher and Anamorphic Media’s Sara Shaak. The Executive producer is former WWE star Jay “Christian” Reso.

The film will also feature appearances from Real life MMA stars such as Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre and Alexander Gustafsson.

This will be Dean Ambrose’s second movie. He made his acting debut back in 2015 action film “12 Rounds 3: Lockdown”. The movie was co-produced by WWE Studios and Lionsgate. He played the role of Detective John Shaw in the movie. It was released in select theaters across the United States and on demand on September 11, 2015.
