Dota 2 TI10 : Fans have to wait longer to find out when TI10 will happen. The annual global Dota 2 event is postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the latest news regarding this year’s Dota 2 International.
The annual International Dota 2 competition draws huge number of fans and players every year. The International is one of the biggest Esports tournaments. The Aegis of champions is coveted by all the participants. The tournament also features some of the biggest prize pools in Esports history.
As the TI was cancelled, pro teams across Europe banded together to organize the Dota 2 Omega League. The tournament’s immortal division contest is going on and 16 teams are fighting to avoid elimination.
Earlier this year, Valve announced that the much-awaited annual event has been temporarily suspended. Earlier today, Dota 2 also took to Twitter earlier today too keep interested parties updated regarding the status of TI and the Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC).
In following how the pandemic has been developing globally, the recent increase in the unpredictability of COVID-19 means we can’t yet commit to new dates for TI10 and the DPC. We share your eagerness in returning to these events, and will announce updates as soon as we can.

According to this tweet, the event has been suspended temporarily. The organizers are yet to give even tentative dates as the situation across the world in very volatile. In its stead, fans are gorging on the Omega league, a Dota 2 tournament featuring all the top teams across Europe.
The organizers of the International have a lot of work on their hands to make this event materialize. The sheer logistics and travel arrangement during such unprecedented times is scary. Currently, the prize pool for TI10 which is crowd funded is $34,262,378.
