Eden Hazard: Real Madrid set to give historic jersey number to Hazard

Eden Hazard: Real Madrid will reportedly give historic jersey number ‘7’ to Eden Hazard after he joins Los Blancos this summer.

Eden Hazard is reportedly set to leave for Real Madrid from Chelsea as the Belgian superstar confirmed his departure from the Blues in his ‘goodbye message’. Whereas, Real Madrid are ready to bid £115 million for his services.

Thus, according to Sun, as per the Express, Real Madrid are ready to give him historic jersey number 7, which was previously wore by club legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul Gonzalez.

Los Blancos are the forerunners to sign the Belgian International this summer as Zinedine Zidane finds Hazards as a suitable candidate to fit in his plans of squad overhaul ahead of next season.

On the other hand, the 28-year-old is looking forward to gain laurels outside England as he is in the peak years of his career.

However, the new Los Merengues signing will not get his current number 10 jersey at Real Madrid, as Luka Modric already possess that number, but the club is ready to strip the number 7 jersey from Mariano Diaz as he has failed to fit into the expectations of the jersey number.

Thus, Eden Hazard will be wearing the legendary number, once he arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu in coming days.

However, on the other side it is also reported that Chelsea have declined the first offer made by Los Vikingos as the West-London club seeks to milk more money out of the player.

Nevertheless, it seems that the transfer saga of Hazard is nearing towards an end, but probably both the clubs are looking for to fulfill their own interests in the final phase of the negotiations.
