Carlos Sainz Continuously Interrupts Charles Leclerc in Hilarious Fashion: 'You Say You Were a Pro...'

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc seem to have formed a strong bond at Ferrari ever since the former joined the team at the beginning of the 2021 season. The two have often been caught pulling each other’s leg and creating some fantastic content for the team together.

One such video has reemerged from the 2021 season when Leclerc provided Sainz with a tour of Monaco. The conversation was particularly intriguing because as Leclerc was providing the tour, an impatient Sainz noticed some contradictory statements and kept interrupting the Monegasque.

‘You were a skater…’: Sainz constantly interrupts Leclerc

In an old clip, Charles Leclerc took Carlos Sainz to the seaside of Monaco while providing his tour. There he began the conversation by explaining how once there was a ‘skate park’ by the sea. He then went on to state, “I was a pro of…,” a point at which an impatient Sainz interrupted him.

The Spaniard asked Leclerc, “You were a skater”? The Monegasque then clarified his earlier remarks by stating that he was referring to an item that is often used by Lewis Hamilton on the race track.

When Sainz replied if Leclerc was referring to a scooter, the Monegasque said, “Oh I was rubbish. But I thought I was…,” a point at which the impatient Spaniard once again interrupted his teammate before he could finish his point.

Sainz asked Leclerc, “Why did you say you were a pro and then said you were rubbish”? Leclerc then finally concluded the strange conversation by replying, “I felt like a pro. But I was rubbish.”

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have frustrating start to 2023 season

After a fantastic 2022 season, Ferrari’s 2023 campaign begins with a massive disappointment. After three races, the Prancing Horse are currently fourth in the championship with just 26 points.

They are already 30 points behind third-placed Mercedes and 39 points behind second-placed Aston Martin. However, when it comes to leaders Red Bull, the Prancing Horse are already a whopping 97 points behind.

Carlos Sainz has scored 20 of the 26 points for the team. He scored 12 in Bahrain followed by eight in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, his last race in Australia ended in massive disappointment as he was handed a five-second penalty right at the end that took him out of the points.

On the other hand, Charles Leclerc has had a much more frustrating start to the 2023 season. The Monegasque has just managed to score six points and is currently tenth in the championship. Leclerc has already had two DNFs so far in Bahrain and Australia, with his only points finish coming in Saudi Arabia.

The early start to the season clearly indicates that Ferrari have a lot to improve if they are to fight for second or third in the championship. The Prancing Horse will now hope that they can put up a better performance in the next race in Baku, which takes place from April 28 to 30.
