F1 Face Masks: Mclaren, Mercedes, Williams and Renault F1 Face Mask Brand and Material used?

F1 face masks: Where to buy Formula One Teams face masks of McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams, etc. and what material do they use.

Formula One teams have been taking the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic extremely serious. And with Sergio Perez Covid-19 positive, the calls for safety of the drivers and personnel will rise even further.

In line with this, F1 Constructors have opted for the use of glamorous face masks in order to prevent the transmission of the virus. This is in line with the FIA protocols and guidelines in motion during the pandemic.

McLaren face masks

McLaren are leading the race of the fanciest face masks in the F1 paddock. The British team’s masks are developed by U-mask, who have created quite a storm with their designs and comfort factor.

The masks last for a period of up to 200 hours, and U-mask also provides a filtration refill for the mask, making it really durable.

The masks give protection in level with the FFP3 masks, and consists of a biotech filter element. All masks are made up of a dual layer, with the outer layer designed in a way to provide comfort to the drivers and the inner layer largely responsible for good quality air filtration.

The recycled Econyl Lycra adds comfort to the users using the face masks, preventing from irritation. Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr. wear the exact same masks on race weekends.

If this was not brilliant already, McLaren has vowed to donate all the profits to numerous NGOs tackling the consequences of COVID-19.

Mercedes F1 face masks

Mercedes have gone all-black this season, to champion the cause of diversity in Formula One. This seem their drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas sporting black face masks on the paddock.

While Lewis Hamilton is generally seen sporting a thick and stylish Mercedes mask with a breathing valve, Valtteri Bottas has mostly gone for the black Mercedes disposable masks.

The masks complement Mercedes’ black livery perfectly and with the black race suits for the drivers; it blends in perfectly.

Ferrari F1 face masks

Ferrari too have gone in for masks that resonate with the team colors. The red, thick strapped Ferrari F1 face masks are one of the most striking in the paddock. That is largely to how the red colour is seen from the distance and the on-point design.

The Williams Racing face masks are extremely economical compared to most team masks on offer. This has been made possible without a medical-grade filtering.

And taking inspiration from McLaren, Williams will be  sharing half of the profits with the Spinal Injury Association.

Renault face masks

French team Renault is offering washable face masks, and it comes in two varieties. The more popular is the ‘Renault DP World F1 Team’ version. It is available in the team colours of black and yellow.

Renault are selling the masks in packs of 5 and 10, and like McLaren and Williams, profits will be donated out.
