Fan questions R Ashwin for 'purposely' not wishing Jasprit Bumrah and Ravidra Jadeja; bowler responds

Fan questions R Ashwin for ‘purposely’ not wishing Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja on their birthday yesterday, Ashwin responds.

December 6 is the day when many number of Indian cricketers were born from Jasprit Bumrah, swing specialist RP Singh to current incumbent Indian No.4 Shreyas Iyer to dynamic all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to triple-centurion Karun Nair, everybody is celebrating their birthday on December 06.

Thus, it was natural that there would be a plethora of birthday wishes at social media to congratulate all the players ahead of their special day. Ravichandran Ashwin also joined the bandwagon to wish those who had their birthdays on December o6.

The ace spinner took to Twitter to wish the troika of Rudra Pratap Singh, Shreyas Iyer and Karun Nair on their respective birthdays where he termed them as “cricketing triplets”

Ashwin wrote, “Wishing the cricketing triplets born on the same day a very happy birthday. This day must have been marked for greatness back then 😂👌 @rpsingh @ShreyasIyer15 @karun126.” However, one fan even went on to troll Aswhin over ‘deliberately’ skipping Bumrah’s name. The account asked, “ignored bumrah because of champions trophy no ball and jadeja because he overshadowed u ?”

However, Ashwin didn’t this pass by. The off-spinner who has carved a niche for himself courtesy his witty replies and cheeky banter had just two words for the question, “So Lame”.

Meanwhile, Ashwin recently played the Test series against Bangladesh, which India won with absolute dominance. He has been excluded from the contingent for the West Indies series.

Last night, the Men in Blue played their first T20 against the Windies, and Virat Kohli’s unbeatable 94 and Kl Rahul’s splendid innings made India conquer the 208 runs target.

On the other side, Bumrah is currently on a comeback trail following his injury and is slated to be back in India colours for the upcoming New Zealand tour.
