After a brief stint with NAVI, sdy joins Ukrainian CS:GO team Monte

CS:GO rifler Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev made waves last year when he stood in for NAVI. However, his stint was turbulent to say the least both on and off the server. While his performances were far from abysmal, several moments of frustration between him and his teammates were caught on camera. With NAVI failing to close out the year with any wins, a roster change needed to be made. Now, sdy has found a new squad in Monte.

sdy joins Monte ahead of the 2023 CS:GO season

The move was announced on the official Monte Twitter account earlier today. sdy responded with the following statement:

“Not the easy way, but I truly believe in this project, we will gain it step by step. Show some love for @Monte_Esports @woro2k @boroscs @kRaSNaLkox @demqqqq and of course our amazing coach @LMBT_CSGO. Thanks to my loyal people, love y’all”

The Monte squad now comprises a Ukrainian core. Here are all the members:

  • Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk
  • Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko
  • Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas
  • Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek
  • Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
  • Sergey ‘lmbt’ Bezhanov (coach)

sdy’s experience in tier 1 CS:GO is something Monte will be looking to tap into on their way to the top. Legendary coach LMBT also joins the squad. The former mousesports coach sent out a statement on Twitter regarding his move:

“New home and I’m happy it’s a Ukrainian club with Ukrainian players. Yesterday we started with a win against Apeks and I hope till major we will get in shape.”

Monte is currently playing in the Elisa Invitational Winter 2023 Contenders. sdy fans will be keeping a close eye on this team’s rise in the near future.
