Among Us taking the entertainment to the silver screen with an animated series

After video games like League of Legends and Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us is next in line to get an animated series. CBS Studios is the one bringing this multiplayer title to a new world.

Among Us recently went on to Twitter to drop the big announcement about CBS Studios working on an animated series. The famous American animator and director Owen Dennis will be leading this project. He is well-known for his Cartoon Network series “Infinity Train”.

There are already some high hopes associated with this project. After all, Among Us became a massive hit during the pandemic. It became a go-to game for many to have fun during that period. The association of a big-name studio and animator just hypes the fans even more.

The upcoming series will follow a similar premise as the game, where a spacecraft crew must deal with an evil shapeshifting alien hiding among them. The crew would have to go through a series of suspense and deception while trying to find the “Imposter” among them.

CBS Studio plans to get streamers on board for the Among Us series

After the Among Us animated series announcement, fans must have millions of questions in their heads. One of them is possibly who will be the voice actors for the characters in this series. But the series is still in a very early stage. Hence, there is a possibility that the studio still doesn’t have a proper voice-acting cast.

An exclusive interview with Variety revealed no network or streamer is associated with this project. However, the studio is talking with some streamers to get them on board for this series. The famous creator group OfflineTV, who are known for their streamers hosting Among Us livestreams, also wants to be part of this project, as they tweeted:

We’re pretty experienced. You know where to message if you need voice actors.

The OfflineTV member and famous streamer LilyPichu has lent her voice to many video games and animated series. She was the voice actor for Sayu from Genshin Impact. Further, the “YouTube Queen” Valkyrae could also be part of this project. She has already worked on the animated series Sonic Prime, dubbing for Squad Commander Red.
