It’s almost time for EA Sports to announce the FIFA 23 Player of the Month cards. These special cards are to celebrate the best player in a league of that month. It has already begun with EA Sports taking votes for the Serie A POTM for April.
On May 3, EA Sports released a short voting list of the best players in April from the premier Italian league, Serie A. The ongoing vote will only be available for a limited time. To cast an informed vote, fans need to get familiar with the Serie A POTM nominees.
The FIFA 23 Serie A POTM nominees for April
Here are all the nominees for the month:
- Lautaro Martinez – Inter Milan
- Rafael Leao – AC Milan
- Lorenzo Pellegrini – Roma FC (FIFA 23 counterpart of A.S. Roma)
- Simone Verdi – Simone Verdi
- Mattia Zaccagni – Latium (FIFA 23 counterpart of Lazio)
Note: FIFA 23 doesn’t have the licenses of A.S. Roma and Lazio, and has used made-up counterpart clubs like Roma FC and Latium instead.
It isn’t surprising to see two players from both the Milan-based clubs make it into this shortlist for the FIFA 23 POTM of April. The Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez bagged multiple goals for Inter Milan. Rafael Leao also made a breakthrough as a talented left winger for AC Milan this season and continued to keep his spectacular form even in April.
But aside from these two Milan stars, three Italian soccer stars also made an appearance on this list. Lorenzo Pellegrini has been in spectacular form, helping Roma climb up the table. Further, Mattia Zaccagni has been a vital member of Lazio, who are ranking second in Serie A. Finally, there is Simone Verdi who showcased excellent performances protecting Hellas Verona from getting relegated to Serie B.
Fans may have a tough time selecting the Serie A Player of the Month for April from these five elite soccer players. But this tough choice won’t be in vain, as voters will get access to a special card for their Ultimate Team squad.
