A high-school boy recently asked the famous streamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo to become his wingman. He wanted the latter’s help to invite the Twitch superstar Imane “Pokimane” Anys to be his partner for a prom night.
Pokimane is one of the most popular streamers and also one of the most-followed female streamers. So, it’s not surprising that many fans want to meet the Moroccan-Canadian streamer. However, a high school boy took things to another level, hoping to attend his school’s prom with her.
The fan recently attended an Anime Expo, where he came across famous Twitch streamers Mizkif and Emiru. He wanted the American streamer to help him ask Pokimane to be his prom night partner. After all, Mizkif is good friends with the “Twitch Queen.”
“I’ll need you to wingman me. I need you to go like you guys are friends of Poki, right. Yeah like if you just go up to her like you know talk to her.”
The fan has asked Pokimane for prom in the past
This high-school kid, who wanted Mizkif’s help to take Pokimane to a prom night, wasn’t his first time inviting the Twitch star. Soon after meeting Mizkif, he revealed his failed attempt a year ago at asking out the “Twitch Queen” for a prom night.
“I don’t know if you know me. It’s probably on livestream fails, I asked Pokimane to prom all right. Last year, that was me. [But it] didn’t go too well.”
For those who don’t know, this fan attended an OfflineTV meet and greet event. There he showed up in a tuxedo and showed a presentation to Pokimane, where he invited the “Twitch Queen” to attend his high school’s prom with him. She was impressed by his creative invitation but ended up turning him down.
Mizkif then took a picture of the boy to possibly show it later to Pokimane. The former then asked the reason for Poki to reject his proposal. The high-school kid revealed that she declined him because of the age gap. It is true that the “Twitch Queen” claimed she was in her twenties while he was only 17 years old.
After hearing the reason, Mizkif also sided with his fellow streamer and friend. He also advised the kid that it won’t work, as he haven’t yet turned 18. However, the boy was adamant about taking Pokimane to his high school prom. He claimed “nothing would stop” him from inviting Pokimane.
