EA Sports is currently busy with the Team of the Season campaign for FIFA 23. But it doesn’t mean they have forgotten about the future. The development of the upcoming EA Sports FC is currently going on. Lately, there are some interesting rumors about the game.

FIFA 23 is the last FIFA video game by Electronic Arts, as their contract with the International Federation of Association Football has expired. The developers will continue producing this super hit game series but under the new label, EA Sports FC. Despite the new name, the game would be the same as fans are used to.

The internet is already full of many leaks related to the game, hinting at the possible changes that the series will undergo beside the major title change. So let’s look into some of the changes that the latest leaks revealed.

Some more name changes in EA Sports FC

The rebranding would not be limited to the game’s title but also to a few other sections of the game. FIFA Points will be renamed FC Points. Players would be able to transfer their points from FIFA 23 to EA Sports FC. Furthermore, the popular online mode FIFA Ultimate Team would be renamed Football Team FC.

Another well-known online mode of the game was Pro Clubs, which will be renamed CLUB. This renamed mode will include a seasonal competitive format similar to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team’s Rivals mode, with Elite being the top division. Each season will consist of five weeks of regular league matches and one week of PlayOffs.

More Heroes and Icons are on the way

EA Sports FC would feature new Hero and Icon cards of some legendary players like Michel Platini, Francesco Totti, Arjen Robben, Sir Bobby Charlton, and Dimitar Berbatov. Further, the Brazilian legend Zico would be returning as an Icon in EAS Sports FC after his Icon card was removed from FIFA 23 due to contractual issues.

EA Sports FC icons

If these Icon and Hero cards were not enough, then Electronic Arts have more in the bag for the fans. There are rumors that women soccer stars would also become part of the Ultimate Team in EA Sports FC. But that isn’t the end of the story, as the developers also plan to introduce female Icons and Heroes like Homare Sawa and Mia Hamm.

But fans would have to take all these rumors with a pinch of salt. After all, these leaks and rumors can often prove to be wrong. So they should wait for Electronic Arts to make official announcements related to EA Sports FC.
