YouTube king, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is once again facing a lot of backlash. This time it is not for his videos, but for sharing a screenshot of a conversation reading he was supposed to be a part of the Titan expedition.

Days after the news of the fateful incident came to light, MrBeast posted a screenshot of him sending a message to a friend saying he would be a part of the expedition that is going to check out Titanic inside the water.

However, fans are calling him out for “faking” a screenshot saying this was sent by him and not received by him. The submarine took the lives of five passengers on board, and MrBeast said he feels scared thinking he could have been on it.

MrBeast claims he was invited to the Titan expedition

In a tweet, MrBeast claimed he was invited to be a part of the trip that was going to check out Titanic but canceled the plan.

A screenshot shared on the micro-blogging platform was from a message he sent to someone informing them he will not be available next month because he would be going to see the Titanic in a submarine. He said:

Also, I’m going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along.

MrBeast backed the screenshot by saying that he feels it was kind of scary knowing that he could have been on the submarine. The majority of the fans were glad that he didn’t go on the expedition and is safe. But there were some who were claiming the authenticity of the screenshot.

MrBeast’s audience asks for concrete evidence

MrBeast’s account was then filled with fans asking why the Tweet was in blue, as opposed to it being gray since it is sent off iMessage.

Many people even tried punching his claim down by saying the evidence he’s provided is not up to the mark and has raised suspicion in their minds. Here are some of the mean tweets from the thread:

MrBeast clarified on this tweet that he just uploaded the screenshot that his friend sent him of the conversation and that he didn’t scroll back and find them. Another user said:

This is one of the tweets that everyone has been agreeing with and has become the focal point of why people are questioning MrBeast.

Besides these, most of the tweets were jokes at his expense. Most of the thread was also filled with possible video options from the trip. One particularly insensitive person wrote:

The submarine had five people on board when it met an implosion that claimed the lives of everyone. It is being claimed that it had lost contact with the mothership, and the wreckage of the submarine was found after five days of intense search.
