MrBeast’s latest video on his main channel was about him and his crew experiencing different airlines at varying price points. The most extravagant of them all was the $500,000 flight that MrBeast and his crew took.
After the video was uploaded, there were a lot of rumors about him being paid to make the video. However, a YouTuber named Nonstop Dan claims that MrBeast paid out of his own pocket to fund the video.
MrBeast’s Airlines’ video sparks controversy
MrBeast recently uploaded a video comparing a $1 airplane ticket experience and a $500,000 airplane ticket experience. Though the intention of the video was to entertain, MrBeast still faced a lot of backlash on the video, with people saying that he got paid to promote the airlines.
One of the people who worked with him on the video, Nonstop Dan, recently spoke about how the video was made. He said MrBeast’s team faced a lot of problems when they were trying to film the video. One of the issues was regarding gaining permission to shoot the video.
“You might be surprised that, not only did he pay full price for all his tickets — sometimes buying out the whole first-class cabin for tens of thousands of dollars — but the airlines didn’t even want him on board,” Dan said.
“His team had a huge battle to even be allowed to record. Point is, the airlines made literally hundreds of thousands of dollars and got over 100 million views of free promo, all while giving MrBeast a hard time,” he added.
MrBeast loses loads of money for dream projects
A project like this is one of his more ambitious expiditions and surprisingly, MrBeast lost a lot of money while trying to make this video. Another one of his more extravagant projects was the one where he re-created the popular Netflix show, Squid Game for a video. It had many tasks and the one who won the game took home a huge chunk of money.
In addition to that, MrBeast has also talked about how he really doesn’t care about making money from the films he makes. He said the only reason he cares about money is so that he can expand his team and grow his business to give back to people. According to him, it is not a lifestyle thing.
