The YouTube streaming star Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofsttetter finally gave the much-wanted Setup Tour. But during that tour, she also revealed how her prestigious The Game Awards trophy got “stolen” from her.
Valkyrae is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the female streaming scene. She has over 3.91 million subscribers on her official Youtube channel. The 31-year-old has been awarded many significant awards since she came into the spotlight.
Amidst every award she has won, The Gamer Awards for “Content Creator of the Year” in 2020 would have a special spot in her heart. After all, it was the first prestigious honor she received as a streamer. However, it never reached her due to delivery issues.

Why didn’t Valkyrae receive the trophy in 2020?
In the latest Setup Tour video, she showcased her small shelf containing her retro consoles and various accolades. But she then remembered one missing piece in that collection, her first prestigious award- the “Content Creator of the Year” trophy by The Game Awards 2020.
Valkyrae revealed The Game Awards authority was late at dispatching her trophy. Hence, it got delivered to her old address, where she lived before receiving that honor. She eventually saw that award on her subreddit but wishes to have it in real.
“It was insane to win. I was so proud. They sent the award pretty late to my old place. And the person that was there posted on Reddit. They were like, “Oh, who is this?” I was never able to get it but they posted that they had [it] like it existed. Kind of sucks but it’s okay. Although, I would like it.”
Usually, most people would be very upset about being in this situation. But the 31-year-old claimed in the setup tour that she is not very sentimental. It might be why she wasn’t too upset over not getting her hands on that prestigious trophy.
Valkyrae will definitely win many more awards in the future as she continues to be one of the most-watched live streamers. But talking about streamers, there is an ongoing conflict in the streaming community between the Twitch royalties like Pokimane, xQc, and HasanAbi.
