Spiral Abyss update in Genshin Impact 3.7

(Image via HoYoverse)

The current Spiral Abyss in version 3.7 has introduced new formidable enemies, with the Iniquitous Baptist at the finale of the last floor. However, like always, the Blessing of the Abyssal Moon is here to make things easy.

Upon landing a Normal Attack on an opponent, they will be inflicted with a Sign of Snaring. After 2 seconds, the Sign will be dispelled, dealing True Damage to the afflicted enemy. Furthermore, subsequent Normal Attacks from a character can amplify the damage inflicted by the Sign’s removal, up to a maximum of 9 times.

Chamber 1

First Half

The first half of the first chamber of Floor 11 will start with Geo, Hydro, and Cryo Specters which will spawn near the Monolith. Focus on eliminating them as soon as possible since the Hydro Specter can heal others and the Cryo one can freeze you, while the Geo Specter will deal damage to the Monolith.

The second wave will introduce 2 Mitachurls and more Specters. It is recommended to use AoE attacks to try to destroy all of them, although focusing on the Mitachurls first is more important as it hits the Monolith. Finally, two Hydro Specters and an Anemo Specter will spawn with a Cryo Lawachurl. The Hydro Specters will attack the Monolith so eliminate them first while dodging other attacks.

Second Half

The second phase includes Mitachurls and the new elemental Hilichurls in the first wave which should not be very difficult to eliminate. The second wave will bring three Eremites, including a Scorching Loremaster with its Scorpion. Defeat the two Sunfrosts first, since they attack the Monolith, while making sure to deal damage to the Scorpion, to paralyze the third Eremite.

Chamber 2

First Half

The first half of Floor 11 Chamber 2 features just one enemy, the Electro Abyss Lector. Try removing its shield as quickly as possible using elements like Cryo and Pyro while avoiding the purple orbs which will drain energy. Then hit the Lector with your DPS to defeat it.

Second Half

The second half will first have a bunch of Mushrooms which can be defeated pretty easily with AoE attacks. Anemo is a recommended option as it also triggers elemental swirls. The second wave follows with an Eremite Galehunter and a Scorching Loremaster. These can be strong opponents. Attack the Galehunter first and try to defeat both their summons to paralyze them.

Chamber 3

First Half

In the first half of Floor 11, defeat the Ruin Drake by paralyzing it as soon as possible. The Mirror Maiden can be challenging to kill, so it is better to have strong Cryo characters on the team.

Second Half

The second half will be Abyss Mages: Hydro, Cryo, and Pyro. Anemo swirls can take them out quickly. Follow through to the HYdro Abyss Herald. Use Cryo and Electro attacks to take down the shield and quickly defeat the enemy before it can counter-attack.

Chamber 1

First Half

Cryo and Pyro Whopperflower will group up on you in two rounds. Those can be defeated with AoE attacks on both rounds.

The next wave consists of Primal Constructs. They can be taken care of in a similar manner with combinations of AoE and straightforward fights.

Second Half

The second half will have two waves, the first with Abyss Mages and the second with Heralds. Since both will have either Hydro or Cryo elements, using elements like Pyro, Dendro, and Electro can save time while dealing with the shields. The real challenge here is dodging the attacks while also continuously dealing damage since the enemy attacks will continuously deplete your stamina and increase Skill CD.

Chamber 2

First Half

The only opponent here is the Jadeplume Terrorshrume, similar to the Open World boss. This is a good time to brute-force your way with your DPS or with Elemental Reactions.

Second Half

This half will have the Thunder Manifestation boss. Defeating it is easy but the time limit might catch up to you. It is wise to bring bow wielders as well as try to dodge attacks or use a shielder to save time.

Chamber 3

First Half

This half has two waves with two Crocodiles in each wave. These can not be crowd controlled so it is better to defeat them one by one as one might go far away while you are dealing with the other. Try to use your attacks faster to deal damage in a shorter time. Freezing is another good option. Utilize Elemental reactions to swiftly destroy Energy Blocks when they appear to paralyze the enemy.

Second Half

Here, the Iniquitous Baptist boss makes its debut in the Abyss. The shields can be randomly deployed as Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro. Hence, a good elemental reaction team is the way to go. Try bringing Dendro reaction teams like Hyperbloom or Burgeon.

  • Ayaka + Kokomi + Bennett + Any shield/heal/support
  • Yoimiya + Xingqiu + Thoma + Any shield/heal/support
  • International team: Tartaglia + Bennett + Xiangling + Sucrose

Genshin Impact Spiral Abyss rewards

(Image via HoYoverse)

Clearing every 3 stars on each Floor in the last 4 Floors of the Abyss rewards the players will 50 Primogems. Since there are 9 stars to collect in total from each Floor, players can get up to a total of 600 Primogems every reset, if they clear all stars. Apart from this, the Abyss also rewards with Domain Reliquaries, which are boxes with surprise Artifacts, EXP books, and Mora.

Spiral Abyss resets occur twice every month, on the 1st and the 16th of the month. Players can challenge the domain multiple time and their previous star count from their last attempt during the phase aren’t lost. So it is possible to try and clear stars in each Chamber separately with a new team, although it will restart the Floor.

The Meta is becoming increasingly challenging as new characters and content is being introduced in the ever-expanding world of Teyvat. If you are interested in more informative Genshin Impact news and guides, check out our hub for the game.
