IPL 2020 auction List of Players and prices: Who are the cricketers with highest base price?

IPL 2020 auction List of Players and prices: The Sportsrush present before you the list of 332 players who will be up for grabs next week.

A list of 332 players who will be up for grabs in the auction of the next season of the Indian Premier League has been made public by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).

With the final list out now, consider it as the last step before the auction which is scheduled to take place on December 19 in Kolkata. It is worth mentioning that the 332 players have been shortlisted from a detailed list comprising of 997 players.

The 332 players comprise of 186 Indian (13 capped and 173 uncapped) players, 143 overseas players and three players from associate numbers (25 capped players and 121 uncapped players).

Who are the cricketers with highest base price?

Base Price – INR 2 crore

Only seven overseas players have priced themselves at the highest base price of INR 2 crore. Australia batsman Chris Lynn, all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh, fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn and Sri Lanka all-rounder Angelo Mathews are all present in the slab of highest base price.

Base Price – INR 1.5 crore

The next category is priced at INR 1.5 crore and contains one Indian and eight overseas players. Batsman Robin Uthappa, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders last month, is the lone Indian in the list.

The others in the list are South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris, Australia batsman Shaun Marsh, fast bowler Kane Richardson, spinner Adam Zampa, England captain Eoin Morgan, all-rounders David Willey and Chris Woakes, opening batsman Jason Roy, all-rounder Chris Woakes and South Africa pacer Kyle Abbott.

Base Price – INR 1 crore

The next set priced at INR 1 crore comprises of three capped Indian players and 20 capped overseas players. Among the Indians, veteran all-rounder Yusuf Pathan, spinner Piyush Chawla and pacer Jaydev Unadkat have fixed their base price at INR 1 crore.

Australia captain Aaron Finch, who skipped the last season of the IPL, is back this time and is likely to be in demand in Kolkata on Thursday.

The Curran brothers in Sam and Tom, who played the last season for Kings XI Punjab and Knight Riders respectively, have also priced themselves at INR 1 crore.

Among the others in this list are Australia fast bowlers Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Pattinson and Andrew Tye, all-rounders Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Agar and Marcus Stoinis, batsman D’Arcy Short, New Zealand pacer Tim Southee, batsmen Martin Guptill and Colin Munro, West Indies batsman Evin Lewis, Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, England batsmen Alex Hales and Tom Banton, fast bowler Liam Plunkett, South Africa batsman Rilee Rossouw and Sri Lanka all-rounder Thisara Perera.
