PSG will be taking on Manchester City in the semi-final of the Champions League

Despite manifold rounds of negotiations and discussions, Kylian Mbappe and PSG are yet to break the impasse between the two. Where the Ligue 1 side is pulling out all stops to tie down the starlet to a new deal, Mbappe is said to be eager to keep his options open for the time being.

Mbappe’s Inquisitive About The PL

And recent comments by PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino will only go onto ruffle PSG supporters further. Speaking ahead of his team’s imminent matchup against Manchester City, Pochettino said Mbappe had often enquired about the Premier League.

“Kylian loves football, he loves to talk about football, he asks about England – how is the game, the mentality and the culture there?

“He’s only 22 but very mature, confident in his talent and open. He can speak French, of course, but also perfect English and Spanish. I speak in English and Spanish with him – more English than Spanish.

“I said to him the other day: ‘I need to practise my French with you, to improve,’ and he said: ‘Sure, but it’s better for me to talk in English.’ He loves to practise different languages.”

Mbappe who is currently PSG’s leading scorer in the Champions League will be striving to put on a show for what could end up being his potential employers. City are said to be amongst one of the suitors for Mbappe, one of the scanty clubs capable of paying the colossal fees required to indulge in the striker’s services.

City and PSG will be locking heads in the first round of their Champions League semi-final this Wednesday. PSG make a foray into this affair courtesy of an exceptional Mbappe performance against Bayern Munich.

Mbappe currently has a staggering 8 goals and 3 assists to his name in the competition. City on the other hand eased their way past Borussia Dortmund to make their presence felt in this stage.
