"I Want to Be Respected By the NBA!": Paolo Banchero Gets Eerily Similar to Michael Jordan While Explaining Intentions in NBA

Paolo Banchero was expected to be good this season, after all, he was selected first overall for a reason. However, despite the expectations set on him being pretty high, the man has managed to surpass them all.

However, the Magic continue to be a lottery team, with the front office looking to acquire one last piece from the NBA draft, before thinking about moving forward with this team.

But it appears that Banchero isn’t happy with only doing that. No, he recently gave a little speech that will have Magic Fans everywhere screaming ‘Michael Jordan’.

So far this season, Banchero is averaging 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, while shooting 45% from beyond the arc.

Given that he is coming up with these averages in his rookie season, Magic fans are hoping he can be the catalyst to an NBA championship for the franchise. And well, it appears that his intentions aren’t any different there.

Take a look at his recent speech in the tweet below.

Those are some brave, brave words by the rookie. However, to be fair to the man and his squad, they certainly seem to have what it takes to get it done within a few short years.

But more than that, these words sound a little familiar, don’t they?

Well, they should, because it was once the greatest player of all time who once delivered a very similar speech.

Michael Jordan wanted the Chicago Bulls to be worthy of the NBA’s respect as soon as he entered the NBA

Michael Jordan always has been a man with supreme confidence. Heck, even as just a rookie who hadn’t played a single game in the league, he said this.

As we said, these speeches are eerily similar to each other.

Could it be a sign of things to come?
