Klay Thompson will be a free agent at the end of the ongoing NBA season and a lot of NBA franchises are interested in securing the services of the best ‘catch and shoot’ player in the league.

LA Lakers have the intention of building a dynasty for themselves in the years to come and recruiting LeBron James was the first step in that direction.

But it is pretty evident that LeBron alone cannot lead the Lakers to glory and will need a couple of superstars around him to replicate what the Warriors have done over the last few years in the league.

Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are the three big free agents next season, and the Lakers are trying their best to acquire the services of at least one of them.

Anthony Davis is high on priority for the Lakers, and while reports earlier had stated that the Pelicans man could be on the move, his Instagram activity last night, wherein he liked a comment stating ‘LA is a bum ass city’ suggests the move could be off(or never was in the making).

Now, both Durant and Kawhi are not quite interested in playing with LeBron and hence reports had suggested that the Lakers could go all out for Klay, whose style of play compliments LeBron’s.

LeBron and the Lakers are in search of a player that can help them sort out their ‘3 point issue’ and who better than Klay to fill up that role.

However, according to Ethan Strauss of The AthleticKlay Thompson has made a decision on joining Lakers in free agency.

“While Thompson has indicated an interest in remaining a “Warrior for life,” his return cannot just be taken for granted,” Strauss reported

“Still, the expectation within and outside the Warriors is that Klay isn’t leaving.

“This is why you don’t hear about any team besides the Lakers gearing up for the Summer of Klay.” he added.

This comes as a massive blow for the Lakers and for LeBron, who would have loved to acquire the services of Klay Thompson as it would have massively suited his style of play.

LeBron James though is still trying his best to recruit Klay Thompson, and despite NBA’s tampering warnings, posted about Klay Thompson’s 43 point game the other night.

Now, while this does not necessarily come under tampering, fans have expressed their concern and displeasure.

Do you think LeBron will be able to recruit Thompson despite he reportedly already having made his decision?
