KXIP vs RCB 2019

KXIP vs RCB 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 28th match of IPL 2019.

After a disappointing loss against MI, KXIP would be eager to make a quick comeback and they would be delighted to have their next few matches at their fortress, the PCA IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. KXIP have had a topsy-turvy season so far winning 4 matches and losing 3.

They would want to improve their standing in the points table with a win on Saturday which would take them to 10 points. They need to be consistent with both bat and ball if they are to have a realistic chance of reaching the playoffs.

RCB, on the other hand, would look to play positive cricket and enjoy the game. They are almost out of the competition and they would love to give it their all and play without any added pressure on their shoulders.

Let us have a look at some of the player battles on display in this match:

Lokesh Rahul vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Rahul has been in top form in this IPL and recently scored his maiden IPL century against MI. He has looked good and KXIP will depend on him to give them a good start yet again.

However, his former RCB teammate Yuzuvendra Chahal will surely have some plans to cut short Rahul’s innings with his wily spin and bounce on the Mohali track. Rahul needs to be wary of Chahal and counter him smartly.

Mohammed Shami vs Virat Kohli

Shami has been in top form in 2019 and has continued to impress in the IPL. He has picked up 9 wickets in this IPL and has been deadly in the powerplay as well as the death overs. Shami looks all set to trouble his Team India skipper with some accurate yorkers and splendid variations.

Virat Kohli will be surely prepared to tackle Shami’s skill. It will be exciting to see who comes out on top in this player battle.

Ravichandran Ashwin vs AB de Villiers

Ashwin and de Villiers go long back and have had a significant Test cricket rivalry over the years. While AB de Villiers will be looking to smash Ashwin to all parts of the ground, the KXIP skipper is sure to have made a detailed plan to get rid of the South African legend with his variations.

De Villiers might have his task cut out if he does not strategise against Ashwin well and play every delivery on its merit rather than try to clear every ball out of the stadium.
