Kylian Mbappe Cristiano Ronaldo replacement

Kylian Mbappe rejected Real Madrid in 2017 because of the current Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Record scorer in Real Madrid’s history Cristiano Ronaldo decided to join when a suitable offer arrived on the table from Juventus. The Portuguese International himself said that the club did not value him as they did him before which forced him to look elsewhere for a change.

His statement is evident because Florentino Perez wanted to replace Ronaldo with the teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe. The French International was one of the hottest prospects in Europe having turned the heads of several scouts at the age of 15.

He broke through Monaco starting lineup and helped his side win the Ligue 1 and go as far as semifinals in the Champions League during 2017. He was the integral man up front and even scored against Juventus in the semi-finals of the European competition.

According to the famous journalist Duncan Castles, Florentino Perez was keen on former Monaco forward and wanted to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Santiago Bernabeu. But, the French International decided against joining the Los Blancos because he thought that it would be a huge burden to carry on.

There were offers from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, but he opted to live in his home country because his father did not want him to leave the capital city of France. Since the French outfit had problems with Financial Fair Play (FFP), they decided to take him on loan with an obligation to buy Mbappe for a fee of 180 million which has made him the expensive teenager in world football.

With the 20-year-old deciding to represent PSG, Real Madrid have moved on and are currently looking to lure Eden Hazard from Stamford Bridge. With the current form of Karim Benzema, there is every chance that the Los Blancos striker could form a good partnership up front with the Belgian who looks certain to leave England in the forthcoming summer.

The transfer fee is expected to be around 100 million euros which should not be a problem for the Los Blancos. Apart from him, the likes of Christian Eriksen and Eder Militao are the other players Florentino Perez has kept his eye on.

The likes of Marcelo, Luka Modric, and Keylor Navas could leave the club because the club is not willing to wait too long until their value falls down.
