“LeBron James Achieves a Feat Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant Couldn’t”: In Year 20, Lakers Star Records More 30-Pt Games Than Two Legends Combined

Ever since LeBron James returned from his injury, the 6-foot-9 forward has been playing like his old, dominant self that we all know him to be. Clearly, even at Year 20, father time can’t seem to bother Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar.

Coming off a 30/9/4 performance against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, LBJ recorded yet another incredible outing. Yesterday night, during the LAL-Wizards clash, the 37-year-old dropped 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, while leading his team to a 119-117 win.

LeBron James records more 30-point games in Year 20 than Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki combined

Bron’s Sunday night performance was his 4th straight 30+ points outing. With the same, the King has now tied Michael Jordan as the only other player to record the most 30-point games aged 37 or older.

Further, this was the 4-time MVP’s 9th 30-point game of this 2022-23 season. His 9 such outings are more than the likes of Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki combined in their 20th Year in the league.

LeBron is now going to be having more possession of the ball since Anthony Davis’ injury. And having more than 50 games remaining in this campaign, it will be interesting to see how many more 30-point games can the 18-time All-Star record.

Where does LBJ stand, scoring-wise, compared to other “Year 20s”?

So far in 21 games, Bron has put up a staggering 26.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.

James’ 26.7 PPG is more than Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s averages in their 20th season… combined!

After an awfully slow start to the season, the Purple & Gold now have a better 13-16 record. With LBJ and Russell Westbrook performing as well as they were expected to, Darvin Ham’s boys will surely rise up the standings in the coming few weeks.
