Liverpool News: Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool trio set to miss the match vs Leicester City in the Premierl league clash at Anfield tomorrow.
Liverpool have dominated the Premier League with gusto. The same can’t be said about their Champions League campaign though. Having lost to Napoli, they barely scrapped to a 4-3 victory on Wednesday against Salzburg.

Liverpool will realise that their aura of being untouchable has been hit a bit. However, they still remain a top threat having won all their matches in the Premier League so far.
They will take on Leicester City at the Anfield tomorrow. The Reds will look to extend their winning run. However, Leicester will prove to be a formidable opponent for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Leicester are currently on 3rd spot and will want to consolidate their position as they aim for European qualification this season. They have been in ominous form and will look to do one better than Salzburg did a couple of days earlier.
3 injuries and a possible return
Jurgen Klopp spoke to Liverpoolfc.com and informed them of the injury updates plaguing the team at the moment. He said:
“With Alisson it’s still: maybe, maybe not. Yesterday he trained with the team [for the first time]. But if you know goalie sessions, they are often pretty more intense than the proper football sessions. He looked really good.
“We will see, I have to talk to different people before I make a decision about that. Joel looks good but is not ready for tomorrow, and Shaq not. And Clyney not.
“That’s it pretty much. After the international break they are all back on track, apart from Clyney, but until then we have only one game and we have to play without them for that game.”
Xherdan Shaqiri has missed Liverpool’s last 3 matches. He will require more time to overcome his calf injury but should make his comeback earlier than Nathaniel Clyne, who is out with a long-term knee injury.
Joel Matip will also miss the match with a knock he picked up against Sheffield United last week. If you’re a Liverpool supporter though, the good news is that Alisson has already begun training with the team and could make his return very soon.
