Lakers have been working hard to find their identity this season, as they look to end the NBA title drought here in LA.

The city has seen years of mediocre basketball and is now finally seeing a superstar control things at the franchise day in and day out.

LeBron has been brilliant in his initial phase for the Lakers, but it is pretty evident that he will not be able to take the Lakers home on his own.

Cleveland have been using that model for the last few years and it has been extremely tough for Bron to do everything on his own.

Against a team like the Warriors, James at least needs one superstar by his side to challenge and dethrone the Warrior dynasty.

While earlier it seemed like the Lakers would spread out the transition phase and let the youngsters get a feel for the NBA, it is now being reported that the management wants to fast track things and help LeBron challenge for that NBA title right away.

Trading in a superstar could be the first step towards that and they might have to give up Lonzo Ball for that.

Ball’s minutes have seen a dip this year for the Lakers, with ball handling taken care of by Rondo and James.

Now, with the Anthony Davis trade lurking, Lonzo is going to be involved in a three team trade to help Lakers find their next superstar.

“Lakers, Magic and Pelicans agree to a three-team trade that would send Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram to the Pelicans, Anthony Davis to the Lakers, and Nikola Vucevic to the Pelicans” a report from Sams Charania confirms

According to a report by Woj and Brandon Robinson , Anthony Davis could end up at the Lakers as soon as Dec 15.

“On Thursday, an NBA league source shared with me that the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in bringing in Anthony Davis via trade as soon as December 15 and Ball and other key Lakers players Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Brandon Ingram could be part of the move.

“A potential three-team deal could involve the Lakers, Pelicans and the Orlando Magic.

“If it’s a straight-up trade with the Pelicans, Lonzo will be in the deal,” Brandon Robinson reported.

Getting Davis in a straight up deal wouldn’t be possible for the Lakers, as they would have to give up on a lot of assets and thus they will have to involve Orlando Magic in the deal. This way Lakers will need to give up only a few picks and one youngster from the side(which is reportedly Lonzo Ball).

The Lakers wanted to develop their young set of player, with LeBron mentoring them, but the thought of Davis in LA has changed things and the management is now looking to go all out to seal the deal.
