Louis Van Gaal praises new Chelsea signing

Louis Van Gaal praises the new incoming signing by Chelsea Hakim Ziyech, who is set to join the Blues once the next season starts.

Louis Van Gaal has given a push to the hype of incoming Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech, who has been phenomenal for Ajax since the last two seasons.

The former Manchester United manager during an interview with Metro, quoted “He has developed tremendously at Ajax. Not so much in creativity, but as a team player.”

“The public has realised that he works very hard for a creative player. And then he also scores goals and gives assists. Then you are a special player.”

Ziyech’s deal with Chelsea was completed during the winter transfer window on a fee of €40 million, but both parties agreed that the Morrocan International will leave Ajax after the end of the season.

Since Eredivisie voided its season due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Ziyech was no longer obligated to serve the Dutch giants and recently visited the home stadium to bid a goodbye to the club and fans.

Ziyech had a successful season with Ajax, as he amassed 8 goals and 21 assists in the 35 games he played across all the competitions, he definitely attracted a lot of interests.

But he achieved prominence back in the Champions League semi-final tie against Tottenham Hotspur, although he failed to take his team to the final.

Meanwhile, he also met Chelsea this season and had a great performance at the Stamford Bridge but Ajax lost that match too after an intense battle.

But Ziyech’s performance probably left the bosses at Chelsea impressed. Now, with he is soon destined to play his first Premier League season, it remains to be seen how he performs for the Blues.
