Mesut Ozil has turned down an approach from Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal have been proactive in this January transfer window. Unai Emery has made his intentions clear that he would like to see new faces at the Emirates to bolster their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next year.

It is no brainer that the Gunners have been looking at a centre-back following the calamities at the back. It is not only the goals they are shipping, but the injuries have taken a toil for Unai Emery’s men who have the third worst defensive record in the top ten.

After a fight with Barcelona for a month, Denis Suarez is getting reunited with his former boss at London. The Spanish International has completed a loan move until the end of the season after Unai Emery confirmed that the club have ruled out permanent deals this window.

News broke out from the Bavarian paper Süddeutsche Zeitung quoting that Mesut Ozil has denied an approach from PSG to join them for rest of the season in a temporary deal. The report adds on that the former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel was looking for a stopgap player in the middle of the park before the transfer window closes.

Leonardo Paredes has already joined the French outfit, but it the injury to Marco Verrati has dealt a huge blow to Thomas Tuchel who is facing an injury crisis currently. The club confirmed that their star man Neymar has been sidelined with an injury for another ten weeks.

Paris Saint-Germain are the frontrunners to lift the Ligue 1, but they are facing the in-form Manchester United in the Champions League round of 16 with 8 wins and 1 draws since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over.

On the other hand, Unai Emery tried his best to get the best out of Mesut Ozil. But, the German has struggled to adapt to the Arsenal manager’s methods and looks increasingly likely to warm the bench during the second part of the season.

There is no doubt that the signing of Denis Suarez would dent opportunities for the former Real Madrid midfielder who attracted interest from Inter Milan early on in this window. However, it is understood that the Nerazzurri wanted the English outfit to pay his hefty wages to take him on loan.
