During a Group 3 match of the ongoing season of County Championship between Lancashire and Glamorgan in Manchester, Glamorgan batsman Marnus Labuschagne bowled a bouncer to surprise Lancashire all-rounder Luke Wood.
Labuschagne, who bowls leg-spin, tried to emulate the likes of legendary leg-spinners in Shane Warne, Anil Kumble and Shahid Afridi, all of whom had bowled bouncer from a short run-up in international cricket.
Bowling from round the wicket to left-handed Wood, Labuschagne forced the batsman to duck under the ball as Glamorgan captain and wicket-keeper Chris Cooke put on display a brilliant grab behind the wickets.
Labuschagne, who had scored 12 (38) before getting out to veteran Lancashire seamer James Anderson, had registered bowling figures of 9-0-40-0.
In what was that sort of a round of County Championship, rain played spoilsport at Old Trafford as well. As a result, the first innings could not be completed throughout the four days. Subsequently, both the teams had to share points on Day 4.
Having missed the first few rounds of County Championship as he was playing for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield, 26-year old Labuschagne has played a couple of matches so far. Labuschagne, who had scored 11 (37) against Kent, is due for an archetype match-winning innings.
