Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has moved to the Supreme Court against Amrapali Group. Dhoni has also mentioned that he had paid INR 20 lakh for the property a decade ago but hasn’t received its possession despite till now. While no exact monetary value was mentioned, it is estimated that the property currently values around over INR 1 crore.
“It is respectfully submitted here that the price paid by the applicant is certainly not a paltry amount,” Kumar further said. Dhoni’s advocate also added that since the cricketer was Amrapali Group’s brand ambassador back in the day, he had received the property at a a discounted amount.
It is understood that Dhoni seeks possession of the property from the Supreme Court.
