The Oklahoma State point guard Cade Cunningham is predicted to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Oklahoma State Cowboys point Guard, Cade Cunningham is all set to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. There is a lot of hype around the 19-year-old youngster in the NBA. One can say he deserves it after his dynamic season at Oklahoma State as a freshman. His heroics saw him named as a first-team AP All-American.

While OKC Thunder would do anything to keep him at home but their odds are pretty low. Cunningham, a 6-foot-8 point guard was ranked as ESPN’s top draft prospect 2021. Looking at his credentials the point guard can be an asset for any team in the NBA.

His top performances helped him win the Wayman Tisdale Award as the top freshman in college basketball. He led the league averaging 20.1 points per game. He was also in the top 10 in rebounds, field goals and free throws. The statistics speak for themselves and how dynamic he is as a player.

Cade Cunningham juggles between his responsibilities of being a superstar hooper and also of a father

Cunningham has come a long way and he is someone who is closely connected with his family. They are his pillars of strengths starting from his mother, Carrie and father, Keith who were always seen in the stands during his matches. Then comes his sister, Kaylyn and last the most important member is his 2-year-old daughter Riley.

After he was awarded as a one and done freshman superstar, Cade went straight to his daughter. He picked Riley up and kissed her on the cheeks. “She’s everything,” Cade said pointing to his daughter.

The youngster has always known the value of a closely knit family. He grew up in a basketball environment and his father and brother, Cannen inspired him to take up the sport. His cousin Ashton Bennings has also had a great influence on his game during the early days.

While the men in his family taught him to hoop, the women are equally important to him. Life as a young superstar basketball player can get overwhelming.

Hence the women in his family provide him with that peace and keep him grounded. Cade feels that his mother is the stabilizers while his sister is his confidant and he seeks motivation from his daughter.
