“$700 million in one picture”: Luka Doncic greets Mavericks fan Patrick Mahomes after beating Kawhi Leonard’s Clippers at Staples Center
Luka Doncic put the Los Angeles Clippers to the sword once again in the playoffs as Mavs fan Patrick Mahomes sat watching courtside.
Dallas is now firmly in the drivers’ seat in their first round series. They have a 2-0 lead and 2 home games to come against Kawhi Leonard and co. Clippers Nation has been rocked back twice at home by Luka’s dazzling offensive play.
Doncic carried the Mavs yet again with a dominant offensive performance. His figures of 39 points and 7 assists were well-complemented by the likes of Porzingis and THJ. Tim Hardaway Jr scored 28 points for a second successive dominant shooting display.
Coach Ty Lue tried to throw every kind of coverage at Luka with little to no effect. The Mavs star took 3-4 possessions circumspectly before finding a way to break whatever way the Clippers guarded him. It was unreal watching a youngster make such intelligent basketball decisions by himself, on the fly.
Luka Doncic daps up Patrick Mahomes after the game
Patrick Mahomes is a Texan lad who’s a childhood supporter of the Mavs. He’s always adored the likes of Dirk Nowitzki, the Mavs legend who was also in the crowd today.
Mahomes got the opportunity to enter the court and dap up Luka after yet another irresistible playoff performance. This interaction led to tons of sports fans calling the duo young GOATs, and with good reason.
Luka is going to receive a supermax contract in excess of $200 million (with terms and conditions). Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, is on a contract that could be worth up to a whopping $503 million over 10 years. They’ve both displayed GOAT potential in their first couple of seasons.

One would hope that Luka is eventually able to break through and reach the Finals. Mahomes has got his Super Bowl ring already. Mavericks fans would certainly be over the hill if Luka is able to lead his team to that stage in the near future.
