Bronny James Challenging LeBron James to a Shootout Resurfaces Amid DeMar DeRozan's Bold Claims About USC Bound Athlete

Speaking to Paul George, DeMar DeRozan reserved high praise for 18-year-old Bronny James. DeRozan claimed that Bronny would be able to take USC to another level. Paul George responded by claiming that Bronny was better than at least 75-100 players already in the NBA. The claim was made in response to LeBron James’ tweet from early March. But just how much of that is true?

LeBron had claimed that Bronny was already better than a number of players he watched in the NBA. Now, a live stream clip in which LeBron James plays one-on-one against his sons Bronny and Bryce James has resurfaced on Twitter.

The kind of attention that Bronny James has received is not reserved for college players. Bronny’s father, who does not seem to shy away from talking about him, posted a tweet claiming he was already ready for the NBA. He did this way before his son declared for college.

LeBron claimed that his USC-bound son was better than a lot of players that he watched and played with in the NBA. Now, with DeRozan and Paul George both praising Bronny highly, a video of him playing one-on-one with his father and younger brother has resurfaced on Twitter.

The video in no way shows that Bronny is anywhere near a finished prospect. Of course, some of his shots and overall technique were decent. However, there was a fair share of misses, including an unforced turnover that saw the ball hit one of the parked cars.

People on Twitter reacted by mocking Bronny and DeMar DeRozan. One user sarcastically claimed that Bronny was indeed ready for the NBA, while the other said that the video proved DeMar’s claims correct.

Paul George and DeMar DeRozan believe Bronny James is ready for the NBA

There is little doubt that there is a lot of improvement that Bronny will make. Better coaching should also help the player improve further.

However, there are plenty of people who believe Bronny is on track to do well in the NBA. DeRozan claimed Bronny would take USC to the next level:

“I think, the way he comes in, the way he’s gonna handle it, the attention he’s gonna bring and the player that he is—I think it’s going to push ‘SC to another level that we haven’t seen.”

Paul George on the other hand, said that Bronny had the basketball IQ to excel, as well as the personality and the humbleness to make it as a professional NBA player.
