Damian Lillard to Lakers: Blazers star responds to rumors of him demanding a trade
‘Damian Lillard to Lakers’ was doing the rounds last night, after a rumor of Lillard demanding a trade away from Portland broke out.
Lillard has been in the news recently because of being announced on the cover of NBA 2k21. But while all that was ‘happy chatter’, last night a rumor broke out about him wanting to go to the Lakers(or the Knicks)
Damian Lillard to Lakers?
According to a New York Post article Portland Trail Blazers star, Damian Lillard prefer the Lakers or the Knicks if he requested for a trade.. The report by Mark Berman (Reporter at New York Post) consisted of mere speculation, but that was enough to start a chain of rumors.

The report was a follow up for the previous report that the 6-Foot-2 was not happy with the Blazers’ franchise and their work.
Damian Lillard addressed rumors of his trade to Lakers
However, Damian in his twitter post cleared all the rumors and informed that this is a pure example of how people are coming up with stories because of lack of proper content.

Five-time NBA all-star has sighed a huge deal with the Portland Trail Blazers for four years in 2019. The contract will pay him $196 million till the 2024-24 NBA season.
Lillard on the Cover of 2K21
Damian Lillard has also been announced as a cover athlete for the upcoming NBA 2K21 release. Zion Williamson and Late Kobe Bryant are the other athletes to be featured on the 2K21 cover.
Blazers Record in 2019-20
Portland Trail Blazers is currently on the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference with a (29-37) record. Blazers were able to qualify for the NBA 2019 Playoffs and can also make it this year as the Blazers are among the 22 teams that are invited in Orlando for the Season restart.
The team has a decent chance of making it to the playoffs this year as they are only 3 games behind the No. 8 seed team Memphis Grizzlies.
