"Donovan Mitchell, our friendship papers are in the mail": Heat legend Dwyane Wade is aghast at Jazz star's 'perfect' PB&J combination

Dwyane Wade hilariously threatens to unfriend Donovan Mitchell over his suggestion that the perfect PB&J sandwich is 100% jelly, 0% peanut butter.

Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are a staple of NBA players’ pregame diets. Popularized by Kevin Garnett, the PB&J sandwich has caught as a sports food trend like few others. A number of players have weirdly specific recipes for their perfect pre-game sandwich.

Donovan Mitchell would definitely err on the sweet side of the spectrum. The Jazz star, possibly jokingly, posted that a perfect PB&J has no peanut butter in it at all. This was in reply to a Twitter post asking viewers their perfect PB&J mix.

D-Wade seemingly took exception to Mitchell’s suggestion that peanut butter is tasteless. This makes sense, because he’s described his pairing with LeBron as peanut butter and jelly in the past (during his forgettable time with the Cavs).

Wade declared that his friendship with Spida is now in danger:

“Whaaatttt Bro our friendship papers are in the mail.. 55% peanut butter 45 % Jelly”

The Heat legend is also playing along with the Don’s joke in all probability, but it’s funny to think of the possibility that he’s actually serious as well. Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are no laughing matter.

The Jazz guard is building upon his vintage performance in the first round of playoffs last year. Handed a max extension by his franchise, Mitchell is averaging a career high in points this season. He came up clutch yesterday in the Jazz’s comeback win over the Pelicans, proving his All Star credentials yet again.
