Following Stephen Curry's 50-Point Game 7 Explosion, Shaquille O'Neal Shares Hilarious Preview of LeBron James' 2nd Round Faceoff

Stephen Curry played the best game of his life on Sunday afternoon to take the Warriors into the 2nd round. He’ll be facing LeBron James, Anthony Davis and their Lakers in the next round. And Shaquille O’Neal is stoked for the occasion.

We saw some truly marvelous offense from the greatest shooter of all time. Curry is the consummate team player, always looking to get his teammates going whenever offered the chance. But he was in his element during Game 7, going into supernova mode.

By the time the game finished, Curry had 50 points – the highest by a player in any Game 7. He took 38 shot attempts on the night, making 20 of them (including seven 3s).

His performance defies superlatives, marking out a landmark that puts him clear of his playoff competitors. It also sets up the most highly anticipated Western Conference playoff series since the Kobe-Duncan era.

Shaquille O’Neal, Snoop Dogg share parody preview of the Stephen Curry-LeBron James clash

Shaquille O’Neal shared a reel originally posted to Snoop Dogg’s profile – an edit from the 1979 movie The Warriors.

The famous scene from the movie, in which David Patrick Kelly creepily says “Warriors, come out to play” was set alongside some Lakers highlights against Golden State this year.

The reel intersperses some nice defensive plays by Anthony Davis with dunks and fancy offense by LeBron James, Austin Reaves, Dennis Schroder and other Lakers players.

All-in-all, it paints an inviting picture of the mouthwatering 2nd round clash that we’ll all be treated to. James and Curry will finally be facing each other in the postseason after a hiatus of 5 years.

Those of us who haven’t had enough of James vs Curry through 4 series will have the opportunity for a 5th and decisive battle.

The Warriors hold the psychological edge

While the Lakers were certainly more dominant in the fashion that they disposed of the Grizzlies, they’ll be acutely aware that facing the defending champions will be an entirely different proposition.

Stephen Curry is the polar opposite of Ja Morant when it comes to shooting and spacing the floor for his role players. The Warriors also have the best offensive rebounder in the league in Kevon Looney, who’s also the bedrock of their defense.

It should make for an entertaining clash, but the Warriors seem to have the edge in talent in this situation. LeBron is yet to crack the 30-point barrier in these playoffs, while Steph is averaging 33.
